Kindergarten
Math: 
  • Counting to 20
  • Representing numbers to 10
E/LA:
  • Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to narrate a single event or several loosely linked events, tell about the events in the order in which they occurred, and provide a reaction to what happened.
Theme:
  • Elson- D dog (d) 
  • Rakovic- H hat (h)
Instructional Focus:
  • W.K.5 With guidance and support from adults, respond to questions and suggestions from peers and add details to strengthen writing as needed.

Grade 1
Math:
  • We are continuing our studies of subtraction, using 10 frames and other methods.
  • Please continue to use flashcards at home for basic addition/subtraction facts.

E/LA:
  • We are working on instruction of narrative writing.  We will be focusing on writing about small moments in their lives.  
  • We are also beginning a unit on the folk tale “The Gingerbread Man”. Please send in any variations on this folk tale that your child may have at home.  We love to share!
Other:
  • We are meeting with the room mothers this week to plan out our gingerbread house making activity.  It will be held on Monday Dec. 22 from 8:45-10:00. We would love to have you join us.  Please note that to attend you need to have a current BCI on file in the office.
