Summer Reading Recognition Program

With summer break just a little more than a week away, we wanted to share the Reading Recognition Program with everyone.

To encourage students to read over the summer, we've created a little incentive. Each student who reads six books over break (alone or with a helper) and fills out the Reading Log to turn in to their teacher this fall before Friday, September 11th will earn a free ice cream cone from Hill Top Creamery in EG! And that's not all - if they draw a picture of their favorite scene from one of the books, it will be displayed in the Frenchtown cafeteria for the month of September.

You can download the Reading Log below or by clicking HERE. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Erickson at (203) 570-4503 or kerickson.play@gmail.com

BOKS End of Year Message

From Nancy Day, BOKS Coordinator/Lead Trainer/Volunteer:

BOKS Families, I wanted to thank you again for having your children participate in BOKS this Spring.  It was a pleasure spending my early mornings with them and my wonderful trainers.  Many thanks to my Frenchtown trainers: Stephanie Ferguson, Margee Levy, Stephanie Elevado and Beth Nardozi.  And many thanks also to my Eldredge team (two of whom are in the Eldredge picture attached) Melissa Riojas, Ismenia Jackson and Sheri Shunny.  We had a lot of fun and got ourselves moving before school.  Active kids = active minds.

Look for BOKS to be back next year!
