New Teacher Introduction

Dear Frenchtown Families, 

 I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Devon Annicelli and I will be the Kindergarten Special Education teacher at Frenchtown Elementary School.

I am a graduate of Providence College with a dual certification in Elementary and Special Education. I have worked in the North Providence, Lincoln, and North Kingstown school systems.  I am very excited for the wonderful year ahead!

I look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know your child. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Kindergarten Orientation Agenda

Kindergarten Orientation will take place on Friday, August 28th @ 8:30 a.m.

Students and parents are invited to stop by the PTG Welcome Table upon arriving to receive a brochure and name tags.

 8:30 am - Students and Parents gather in the cafeteria.
· Welcome by Mrs. Vaughn.
· Introduction of Kindergarten staff.
· Introduction of our School Social Worker. Mrs. Foley will discuss her role of support within the school.
· Introduction of our School Psychologist. Mr. Dwyer discusses his role of support within the school.
· Introduction of Frenchtown's School Nurse Teacher. Mrs. Brayton-Simmons discussed her role within the school and other health related issues.
· Our Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Elson and Mrs. Rakovic will discuss transitions to K and preparing for the first few days of school.

8:50 am - Parents and students will have the opportunity to explore K classroom and the playground.

9:20 am - Bus rides are available to students.

Frenchtown Apparel Now Available!

What better way to get you child into the school spirit than with some brand new Frenchtown swag? This year's apparel has just arrived and it's adorable. The shirts all come in sizes XS-L and pricing is as follows:

Look for the PTG table selling these Frenchtown goodies at the Principal's Open House and Picnic on Tuesday, August 25th! And if your child wants to sport theirs at the picnic, you can e-mail Danielle Medina at daniellemedina@gmail.com to purchase in advance.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Back to School

The first day of school is less than a month away (find all the important dates on the calendar HERE) and we're looking for volunteers to help things run smoothly when the kids return!

Tuesday, August 25th is the Principal's Open House and Family Picnic and we need four volunteers to welcome parents and children and give out name tags. You can sign up for a shift from 12:00-12:30 pm or from 12:30-1:00 pm.

And during the first week of school, parent volunteers are needed to help get students from the bus to the correct classroom lines. It's a half-hour commitment from 8:00-8:30 am, and we need people Monday, August 31st - Friday, September 4th.
